Researches, procures and maintains laboratory supplies and equipment. Responsible for setting up, taking down, and organizing equipment and materials for weekly instructional labsTrains, instructs and supervises student lab assistants and support personnel in the safe use of facilities and operation of all laboratory equipment. Provides instructional and technical support for laboratory personnel and teaching assistants.Interfaces with Environmental Health and Safety, Custodial Services, Biology Instructional Office staff, vendors and contractors. Maintains and cleans lab equipment and lab areas.Assists course instructor in the improvement of existing laboratory exercises, troubleshooting current protocols based on graduate teaching assistant feedback, and updating procedural guidelines for those exercises.
