What You Will Do:
The Management Consulting Associate Director in Guidehouse State and Local Government Practice leads delivery teams on high impact State & Local Government client engagements and driving business development activities
Establishing approaches to gather information from clients regarding client structure, process, technology, and culture
Facilitating meetings with client stakeholders to gather information
Identifying and implementing overall program improvements for clients
Effectively leveraging project resources to accomplish tasks while providing regular feedback and coaching
Driving business development activities including RFP responses and proposal development
Ability to lead account planning and target new business opportunities that support relevant practice development goals and objectives
What You Will Need:
Deep State and Local Government knowledge with demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, lead project engagements, attract new business, and build lasting professional relationships with senior client executives.
Experience developing, bidding, and winning public sector management consulting services with progressively increasing level of leadership responsibility.
8+ years of related work experience in Program Management with an ability to identify and execute strategic priorities and process improvements
Bachelor's Degree
Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar business development and managed revenue targets
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, providing feedback, mentoring, and coaching team members.
Serve as point person in client communications and manage developer/client interactions
Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project development and client management skills
Manage client relationship and expectations throughout project lifecycle
Communicate project status to all stakeholders (internal and external), work to resolve issues and problems, proactively identify project risks and make recommendations for resolution to ensure project success
Prepare roadmap reports for projects to both team members and clientele
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel from technical to executive management, and to influence stakeholders in order to get things done.
Strong leadership interpersonal skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- MBA, MPA or other master’s degree in Public Policy, Government, Political/Social Science, Information Systems, Operational Research, Management, International Development, Economics, Urban Science and/or related fields.
If you proceed to interview you will complete a case study that will be presented verbally by the interviewer. You will be asked to respond to a series of scenarios.
