Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the machinery manufacturing industry, located in Houston, Texas, 77037, United States. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for leading month-end closing for multiple corporate entities, recording accounting transactions, managing the recording of bank transactions, handling accounts payable invoices, managing debt schedule and intercompany reconciliation, conducting monthly financial analysis, and coordinating with other members of the corporate office on related areas. Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end closing for multiple corporate entities

• Record accounting transactions and ensure the corporate books accurately reflect activity and balances

• Manage the recording of bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts

• Process and record accounts payable invoices and issue payments

• Manage debt schedule and intercompany reconciliation

• Conduct monthly financial analysis and manage vendor relations

• Process and record expense reports and inter-company billing

• Utilize QuickBooks, Accounts Payable (AP), Debt, and Depreciation skills for various accounting tasks

• Coordinate with other members of the corporate office on related areas such as debt, insurance, expense reports, etc.

• Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Accountant in the Machinery Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Comprehensive understanding of debt management and depreciation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred but not required.
