GoDaddy.com, LLC Data Engineer in Kirkland, Washington

Duties: The Data Engineer at GoDaddy.com, LLC in Kirkland, Washington will develop high quality batch and streaming big data pipelines. Work in an agile (scrum) development environment, constantly shipping and iterating. Collaborate with our Data Consumers, gathering requirements, and delivering complete data solutions.  Design, develop and maintain datasets that drive key business decisions.  Adopt and define standards and best practices in data engineering including data integrity, performance optimization, validation, reliability, and documentation.  Keep up to date with advances in big data technologies and run pilots to design data architecture to scale with increased data volume using cloud services.  Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, using both quantitative analysis and business judgment.  Draw from extensive experience in analytics, data development, and data warehousing.  Work with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark).  Program using Python, Java or Scala.  Utilize database technologies, including NoSQL and SQL. Deliver reliable data pipelines with solid test infrastructure, CICD, data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting. Communicate with business and technical teams (verbal and written).  Utilize AWS big data technologies such as S3, EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, and Glue.  Build Tableau reports and analytics. Telecommuting permissible. GoDaddy's compensation may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The annual base salary range is $114,800-$172,200 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field plus 2 years of experience as a data scientist, data engineer, data analyst, or related occupation. Experience must include 2 years with each of the following: (1) building reports using Tableau, Excel, PowerBI, or Pivot; (2) software design, development, testing and implementation phases; (3) SQL, Excel, data warehousing, query optimization, and ETL to build data models and reports; (4) programming languages, including Python, Java or Scala; and (5) database technologies, including NoSQL and SQL.
