The Investment Bank, TD Securities, has more than 4.500 employees servicing clients from 15 key financial centers. TDS offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients; some examples include M&A advisory, debt and equity origination and trading as well as global transaction banking.

Business Context

TD Securities operates in Europe through its offices in London and Dublin, providing execution in a wide range of capital markets products and services, largely to European SSA, corporate and asset management clients. The key business lines are: Fixed Income (Origination and Syndication, and Secondary Market Trading), Foreign Exchange, Global Metals, Repo and Funding, Global Equity Derivatives, Institutional Equities, Investment Banking.

The role is focused in covering the German Insurance industry on Fixed Income with a focus on providing vanilla interest rate solutions that suit their investment parameters. These products include caps collars and floors, as well as callable bonds.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong numerical skills and a genuine interest in finance and the global macroeconomic environment. Solid knowledge and understanding of TD Securities (TDS) and its businesses, markets, products, and systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a diverse team.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to promote the best outcome for TDS and TD Bank Group.

  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment in ambiguity and a constantly changing environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

  • Active coaching and team development of skills and capabilities.

  • Support effective change delivery.

Primary roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and service to the electronic FX client space.

  • Responsible for onboarding of new clients/ accounts and develop existing client relationships.

  • Proficient in the full trade cycle beginning to end – pitching electronic product offering, pricing, execution and settlement of trades.

  • Maximizing profitability through client feedback and knowledge; leveraging a data driven approach.

  • Interact with clients efficiently and skillfully at all levels.

  • Manage ad-hoc projects and support product development initiatives.

  • Develop internal relationships, growing out connections with peers in other TD locations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Demonstratable electronic FX sales experience.

A strong understanding of the electronic FX landscape including current regulatory environment.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Good analytical and sales skills.
