Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic Sr. Program Manager to join the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Safety Learning and Development (SLeD) team. The SLeD team seeks an experienced, self-motivated Program Manager who excels in a fast-paced environment and has a solid background in program management to lead the WHS programs throughout Europe.

As the Sr. Program Manager, you will drive the expansion and growth of our WHS global training and certification programs, starting in Europe and scaling globally. You will play a crucial role in devising strategies, fostering partnerships, and executing initiatives to enhance the program's reach and impact. Your responsibilities will include streamlining the WHS Global Safety Certification program, National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) program, and enhancing the employee experience. This entails serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders in coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical programs and projects. The ideal candidate excels in crafting large-scale global training program strategies, encompassing training design, roadmaps, gap analyses, financial planning, communication, and launch plans in a dynamic and diverse business environment. Effective communication and program management skills are essential, enabling you to manage multiple, competing priorities and coordinate work across teams.

The assignments are intricate and support business priorities at regional, country, and global levels. This role demands expert influential leadership across all verticals and horizontals, with visible timelines aligned to WHS goals and initiatives. As the Sr. Program Manager, you will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, from initiation to closure, with the flexibility to adjust priorities as needed. A creative and passionate advocate for stakeholders, the ideal candidate possesses proven analytical capabilities, extensive program experience, meticulous attention to detail, and prioritization and multitasking skills. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, high flexibility, unwavering commitment, and a knack for overcoming challenges in ambiguous situations is highly desirable.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the expansion and growth of WHS Global Safety Certification programs globally, including project plans, roadmaps, and financial planning. Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and managing strategic training programs and projects

• Develop and implement training strategies to increase program reach and impact, partnering with WHS Business Intelligence to create relevant dashboards. Build partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations to promote program adoption. Manage stakeholder relationships, including recruiting, legal, WHS Operations Excellence, HR, talent Acquisition, and WHS field

• Design and execute global training program strategies, including program design, roadmaps, and launch plans

• Coordinate work across teams with effective communication and management of competing priorities

• Provide influential leadership to align timelines with WHS goals and initiatives

• Partner with WHS Field Teams globally to implement WHS Global Certification and NEBOSH programs. Lead financial planning for WHS Global Certification and NEBOSH programs

• Track progress against project plans and report on overall project health using key performance indicators. Oversee multiple initiatives from initiation to closure, adjusting priorities as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven experience in any of the following disciplines: human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience in product or program management, cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience managing multiple learning programs, defining program requirements, and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Familiarity with EU safety, learning, and localization requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in any of the following disciplines: business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • PMP Certified

  • NEBOSH Certified

  • Health and safety management experience

  • Proficiency in German and/or French languages

  • Experience building processes, project management, and driving automation or standardization
