The Employer and Individual (E&I) Marketing Team is seeking a Director of Marketing to oversee its MarTech Strategies. Effectively leveraging existing and emerging technology is the cornerstone of a modern marketing organization and we are seeking a leader with experience in MarTech management and innovation to guide our future roadmap. Via the Marketing Evolution initiative, UHG has made significant investments in our data warehouse (MDP) and platform (Adobe), and it is imperative we have leadership in place with strong functional expertise to support the realization of value from the enterprise commitments.

Primary Responsibilities:

The MarTech and Digital Strategies leader is responsible for the following:

  • Oversee E&I’s implementation of the new Adobe suite of products (AJO, CDP, Assets)

  • Represent E&I’s priorities to Evolution program technical leadership.

  • Strategic planning and roadmap of the E&I MarTech stack; a collection of 15+ platforms representing a $4MM+ annual marketing operations investment in support of B2C, B2B and foundational operational activities impacting the full Marketing and Sales Enablement function

  • Collaborate across the B2B and B2C Marketing teams to deliver against key business priorities, as well as collaboration across the enterprise with other MarTech leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a marketing operations or Marketing technical environment supporting multiple campaign channels, including email, print, and digital for direct to consumer and/or business-to-business

  • 5+ years of experience with Campaign and Journey Marketing tools and processes

  • Experience with AJO and Marketo

  • 5+ years of experience working with various marketing, content, Digital Asset Management (DAM) and workflow technologies related to marketing process as well as operations and execution

  • 2 years’ experience with Adobe Assets, and Workfront

  • Experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams of various sizes

  • Experience with MarTech connectivity diagrams, process design and reengineering (Lean, Six Sigma, or etc.)

  • Experience with complex marketing channels such as B2B2C or B2B and B2C

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Administrator level knowledge of additional MarTech tools including Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Employer benefits marketing experience

  • Understanding of working in a highly regulated environment

  • Operational experience supporting Marketing and optimization of campaign efforts

  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity at either our Minnesota or Connecticut locations

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
