Google Technical Solutions Consultant Manager, Android Partner Engineering in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 12 years of experience in software technology or technical partner management in Android or other Linux-based embedded systems.

  • 8 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering or technical consulting, and 4 years of experience in technical leadership.

  • 3 years of people management experience.

  • 2 years of experience writing code in one or more programming languages.

  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience creating and scaling partner programs to the Android partner ecosystem.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholder driven projects with proven technical program management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to explain complex technical problems easily to engineers, business development, and executives at both Google and partner companies.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple projects and streams of work.

In this role, you will lead and manage technical staff who are responsible for running programs for the Android Partner ecosystem. You are a lead within Android Partner Engineering (APE) working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Business, Strat Operations, and APE leads to align on shared goals. Your technical and industry insights influence platform and product direction, bridging and aligning the needs of Google with the Partner ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage a team of technical staff to achieve strategic goals, drive Android mobile Partner Programs and guide individual career growth.

  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering.

  • Advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.

  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance.
