The Order to Cash (O2C) Process Owner is a key role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end order processing, fulfilment, billing, cash collection activities within an organization. This position requires a deep understanding of the O2C cycle, from order initiation to cash application, and involves collaborating with various departments to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Oversight:

  • Manage and optimize the entire Order to Cash cycle, including order processing, credit management, billing, collections, and cash application.

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures and best practices for O2C processes.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the O2C process.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, business operations, services, finance, and other relevant departments to streamline communication and coordination across the O2C process.

  • Ensure alignment of O2C processes with overall business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Implement changes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and overall effectiveness of the O2C process.

Risk Management:

  • Implement and monitor effective credit management practices to minimize the risk of bad debt.

  • Identify and address potential issues related to fraud, disputes, and other risks in the O2C process.

Compliance:

  • Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements affecting the O2C process.

  • Ensure that O2C activities adhere to legal and regulatory standards.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze reports related to O2C performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

  • Proven experience >10years in O2C or related financial processes, with a track record of successful process optimization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems especially SAP products, financial software, and order management tools (e.g. High Radius)

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
