AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Within SMGS, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Programs Manager is an integral part of the Public Sector (PS) Partner Programs team and is in a key position to help grow our cloud computing business making an impact in an exciting, growing market. AWS is leading the shift in cloud computing and is looking for world-class candidates to help shape and deliver our partner programs. In this Partner Programs Manager role, you will own the development and operation of specific programs that help partners accelerate their AWS business. You will work cross-functionally with AWS partner and technical teams to scope and build requirements for programs that will solve partner and customer challenges. The ideal candidate is experienced with program development, cross functional relationships, management, reporting, training and communicating to a variety of audiences and is highly organized. You must have the ability and initiative to understand complex business needs and solve them with programs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Dublin-Ireland or Paris-France.

Key job responsibilities

-Work directly with partners to implement and operate strategic projects related to digital sovereignty, in order to deliver against program goals.

-Work closely with business, sales, marketing, technical and operations stakeholders to understand and address partner challenges.

-Leverage your channel knowledge to solve highly complex business challenges through programmatic solutions including working with technical stakeholders on program design.

-Work with cross functional groups including AWS Partner Network (APN), Training, Business Development and solutions architecture to build enablement programs that allow strategic partners to develop capabilities and achieve proficiency according to AWS competency standards.

-Operationalize programs in desired geography including program recruitment, adoption, reporting, feature roadmap, and problem resolution.

-Work with subject matter experts, partners, and other stakeholders to develop internal content that meets audience and program requirements in creative and engaging ways.

-Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand customer and partner needs, gaps, and opportunities

-Build and execute a communications strategy to stakeholders, including ownership of business cadence.

-Measure and report effectiveness of program

-Own goals/performance reporting

About the team

The Public Sector Partner Programs team drives partner program usage, benefits, and customization for AWS Partners working in Public Sector in order to accelerate their revenue growth, profitability, and transformation with Public Sector end customers. Examples of programs built and led by this team include Think Big for Small Business and the Partner Transformation Program.

Basic Qualifications

Solid experience doing Business Development, Program Management or Project Management.

Bachelor's degree and understanding of Cloud Computing

Experience working with channel partners and System Integrators

Fluent English and excellent communications skills including writing and presenting with accuracy and attention to detail

Experience with work management platforms and CRM software

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding and experience in Public Sector verticals

Understanding and experience with policy issues around data sovereignty or data protection

Experience building or launching net new programs

Second language (other than English)

Experience with AWS technology
