Aerotek is currently seeking well-rounded candidates to interview for a Trim Operator position in Salt Lake City, UT.

Shifts:

• Monday-Friday 2:30pm- 11:00 pm ($18-20/hr)

• (Some overtime on Saturdays)

Job Description:

The Trim Operator uses a variety of Trim Machines-upright, vertical, horizontal and automatic to cut and trim a variety of manufactured items such as rubber and plastic.

• Trim excess material or cut threads off finished products, such as cutting loose ends of plastic off a manufactured part for a smoother finish.

• Inspects parts to assure conformance to specifications.

• Services equipment as required (TPM).

• Responsible for meeting established production standards.

• Completes paperwork as required, including production, productivity, inspection, and downtime.

• Keeps area clean, orderly, and free of obstruction.

• Observes safety rules at all times and immediately reports unsafe conditions to department supervision.

• Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

• Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time.

• Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.

Qualifications:

• Assembly or other hand-type work experience preferred.

• Must be able to read shop floor drawings.

• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds.

• Familiar with measurement instruments.

• Familiar with small hand tools.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Possess basic computer skills.
