POSITION OVERVIEW Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Transporting residents to and from medical trips, to and from SFR's or Program Centers, driving Merakey AVS buses and Vans. Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness, routine maintenance, bodily damage and general appearance, notify HSS or designee of problems, be aware of routine and scheduled, mechanical maintenance. Accompany individuals to medical appointments as assigned. Maintain trip logs on a daily basis. familiarizes self with doctors, clinics, and various hospital environments. Reports to appropriate appointments on time and informs the parties of any pertinent information. Develops and maintains professional rapport with personnel of doctors' offices, clinics and hospitals. Maintains confidentiality. Verbally reports to HSS, Assistant HSS or SFR nurse upon return. Assists the residents with activities of Daily living, such as toileting, eating and other personal hygiene. Administers medication to clients while on medical trips, maintains Medication Administration Certificate. Performs related work as required. Assists with duties as directed by HSS/AHSS. Duties are subject to change.
