Business Ops Project Manager

The US HP.com Business Management Team has an exciting opportunity for a role responsible for executing strategic plans to improve and optimize business processes and capabilities associated with the sale of HP's products or services in the US Hp.com Store. In this function, you will analyze existing processes and collaborate with various departments to design new architectures and ensure seamless integration. You will manage store enhancements from a business perspective, and lead or participate in cross-functional project teams involving design, development, testing, support, training, and troubleshooting of processes or capabilities that are essential to deliver HP products and services to HP customers/partners. You will also interface with team members and managers to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the execution of strategic plans for the improvement and optimization of business processes and capabilities across the organization.

  • Lead process to identify, define & prioritize business requirements.

  • Own Business Project Cycle from inception to close:

  • Capture business needs and submit enhancement requests.

  • Collaborate with Finance and other teams to size projects (return/investment).

  • Tracking IT development and support as required.

  • Identify risks/mitigation plans throughout Project Cycle.

  • Influence project schedule and manage stakeholders' expectations.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing activities.

  • Hand off project to Business SME after IT development & release.

  • Collaborates with various departments to ensure that processes and capabilities are integrated seamlessly into the broader organization.

  • Utilizes standard project management and quality improvement methodologies in process improvement approaches.

  • Utilizes data analytics and modeling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.

  • Represent team in short- & long-term project planning processes within the business.

  • Lead strategy workshops within the US HP.com organization to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Tracks performance metrics and KPIs for processes and capabilities and provides insights for improvement.

  • Ensures that all processes and capabilities are aligned with the strategic objectives and adapt to changing business needs.

Education and Experience Required

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence (e.g. Leading IT Projects)

  • 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in business operations, business process improvement, change management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

  • Project management related certifications are a plus.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Knowledge of e-Commerce business fundamentals and eCommerce infrastructures.

  • Experience with Project/Program management practices, processes, and tools such as Jira.

  • Experience with product management, systems integrations, and project prioritization.

  • Analytical thinking, ability to analyze and manipulate data using Excel / Google Sheets.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate with virtual teams.

  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and functional disciplines.

  • Ability to lead group of individuals, influence, and drive consensus.
