Job Description

As a HPC Cloud Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) solutions within AWS. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HPC workloads with cloud platforms. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing performance, scalability, and reliability for scientific simulations, data analytics, and other compute-intensive tasks.

Day to Day:

• Adapt existing code available via GitHub for a Multiscale Machine-Learned Modeling Infrastructure (MuMMI) framework deployed on a supercomputer for the AWS high performance cloud environment.

• Create and maintain software solutions tailored for HPC workloads in cloud environments.

• Implement parallel algorithms, optimize code, and leverage cloud-native services to enhance performance.

• Collaborate with researchers and domain experts to understand their computational requirements.

• Integrate HPC environments with AWS

• Configure and manage cloud resources (compute instances, storage, networking) for HPC workloads.

• Ensure seamless data transfer between on-premises clusters and cloud instances.

• Optimize HPC applications for cloud deployment.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

• Experience with HPC libraries (e.g., MPI, OpenMP) and parallel computing.

Familiarity with AWS and their services. * Advanced knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM (Identity and Access Management).

• Experience with GPU computing and accelerators (CUDA, OpenCL).

• Familiarity with scientific computing, numerical simulations, or data analytics.

• Prior experience working in a Scientific or health industry doing HPC work null
