Commercial Sales Leadership Program
Career Opportunity:
WestRock Company is seeking individuals, with a strong interest in sales, to become a part of the Corrugated Commercial Leadership Program. The program is designed to accelerate the development of entry level sales talent and is comprised of rotations in sales, operations and commercial support functions.
Upon successful completion of the program, the Associate will be placed in sales role a focus on new business development.
What you need to succeed:
Degree completion from an accredited Bachelors’ program in packaging, sales, or business-related field
Leadership capabilities that reflect our core values of integrity, respect, excellence, and accountability
Drive to achieve results and willingness to continue to search for solutions in a complex and challenging sales environment
Strong ability to solve multi-dimensional problems and make clear and concise recommendations
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly collaborative style and comfort working with all levels; excellent presentation and active listening skills
Natural curiosity and commitment to learning; ability to self-pace learning within a manufacturing environment
Intercultural awareness
Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing to relocate for training program and for permanent role
How you will impact WestRock:
The program consists of a structured learning course designed to introduce the Associate to WestRock - its values, customers and products. Associates will visit WestRock manufacturing facilities and complete a self-paced learning program designed to:
Gain a strong working knowledge of the complete corrugated manufacturing process
Foster effective plant, sales and customer relationships, developing a thorough and proactive problem solving and service mindset
Understand how WestRock onboards new business, resolves quality issues, and services customers from design development to manufacturing to distribution
Gain exposure to breadth of capabilities within the WestRock corrugated and consumer divisions
Work with commercial excellence team to understand the industry, end markets, consumer behaviors and needs, market segments, geographies, customers & competitors in order to develop an effective prospecting plan for profitable growth
Observe sales presentations and receive coaching on customer oriented selling tools and presentations
Understand and be able to communicate Westrock key value differentiators
Work under a sales mentor, understanding and experiencing the daily activities/functions of a corrugated sales professional
Support sales activities, in a specific region, to help achieve sales goals and foster good relations with customers
Attend WestRock sponsored sales training
