Job Summary The Voice and Network Lead will manage all aspects of the Global Services Network team, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, Voice, Video Conference and Internet access. The Global Services Network team is responsible for end-to-end management for all networking related systems in all offices and data centers.
Exciting work you will do:
Day to day management and tasking of network team members
Performs analysis of data/voice needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation
Owns data/voice vendor relationships to ensure network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring are managed properly
Manages and coordinates urgent and complicated data/voice support issues
Acts as escalation point for advanced data/voice issues
Coordinates with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements
Assesses cloud hosted opportunities if applicable to optimize business opportunities
Checks systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures
Establishes and controls systems access and security
Monitors and maintains data/voice stability
Identifies need, tests, and deploys upgrades across network hardware and software
Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services
Develops or establishes strong relationships with relevant third parties and vendors
Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products
Prepares and maintains documentation of data/voice configurations
Directly supervises vendors/managed service providers and telecom carriers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies
Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans
What you will need:
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Experience in a high-availability, on-call environment
Project management skills especially with new construction
Experience in managing a networking team
Strong communication skills (Oral & written)
6+ years of experience supporting multi-site
Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructures (Nexus Core)
Cisco IP Telephony solutions
Cisco Wireless infrastructures
Cisco ASA firewall infrastructures
Experience supporting day to day operations of Cisco IP Telephony solutions & VOIP including: Cisco Unified Communications Manager Voice gateways (Analog VG224) Knowledge and experience troubleshooting Cisco networking gear
Microsoft Unified Messaging and Polycom experience a plus
