Google Senior Financial Analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

  • 3 years of experience in finance, investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar environments, including FP&A and project management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to influence through strong relationship management, business expertise, and data knowledge to manage a complex set of issues through executive and staff stakeholders.

  • Ability to grow in a fast-paced environment, maintain executive presence and perspective in the midst of changing timelines and rapid decision making.

  • Ability to take initiatives to get a wide variety of things done and be a part of complex strategy discussions.

  • Ability to work with teams to frame problems, structure analyses, and deliver impact.

  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative modeling skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

  • Excellent framing and presentation skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work in close partnership with Corporate Development, Mergers and Acquisitions Finance, Human Resources, Cloud Go-To-Market and Cloud Product Leads and Cloud investments team. This working team provides the financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to help decision-makers assess the strengths and risks involved in a given Mergers and Acquisitions Investment opportunity.

In this role, you not only have a strong finance and accounting background, but you can harness this knowledge to navigate complex financial issues to find creative solutions and partner with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive agreement model and integration plan. You are willing to dive deep into the details while keeping an eye on the big picture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Partner with business stakeholders to establish Mergers and Acquisitions strategy. Evaluate the strategic rationale and financial merits of Mergers and Acquisitions and equity investments.

  • Ensure proper budgeting and planning for agreement financials.

  • Support ongoing acquisition integration, including briefing executive Cloud leadership on progress and potential risk/mitigations to integration timeline and expected goals.

  • Monitor post-close Mergers and Acquisitions and equity investments financial performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Establish funding framework and policies, and drive agreement evaluation and execution process improvements.
