Actalent Services is seeking a Piping Designer for a great company in the Portland Metro area. This is a long term career position with a stable company!

Job Description:

We are seeking a Piping Designer to work on various project types ranging primarily in the industrial and advanced facility space.

Duties:

• Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex. Types of design can include semiconductor manufacturing plant and tool installation design, facility primarily wet side design process piping and exhaust, and hydronic systems.

• Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical and other disciplines.

• Piping Design: Lead the design and development of complex piping systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Utilize AutoCAD, CADWorx, and REVIT to create detailed piping layouts, isometrics, and construction drawings.

• 3D Modeling: Leverage 3D modeling capabilities within AutoCAD & REVIT to visualize and optimize piping designs, ensuring efficient layout and space utilization. Knowledge of PIPE-FLO preferred

• P&ID Development: Create and update Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for Advanced facilities, incorporating equipment, piping, instrumentation, and control systems.

• Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required

Skills & Qualifications:

• Direct industry work experience in piping design within industrial, advanced facility construction projects

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with AutoCad, CADWorx and/or Plant 3D or REVIT.

• Knowledge with industry codes and standards.

• Occasional local travel for site walk downs and client meetings.
