Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Kuiper Enterprise Technology builds the software, services, and infrastructure that enable our program to design and engineer the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services. Our team succeeds when the entire Project Kuiper organization can scale as needed to be successful.

As a Senior Product Manager on this team you will lead the technical effort to develop a centralized controllership model for our business. This effort includes ownership of a portfolio of technical products. Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including the end-customer, business owner and corporate finance professional.

You will work alongside other Program Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers to drive key business initiatives. Collaborate with teams across Amazon on the planning and execution of complex and highly-technical projects with high impact and visibility.

  • Evangelize vision and strategy, and drive customer focused, high impact roadmap delivery

  • Lead multiple initiatives in various stages of development

  • Make timely, data-driven decisions to prioritize and solve problems

  • Build effective relationships up, down, and across organizations

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly orally and in written form to influence different audiences and levels within and across organizations

• Fluency with Excel and supporting financial software

About the team

To enable production, the Kuiper Builder Enablement and Engagement organization provides infrastructure, IT and builder support to all Kuiper engineering and service teams. As individual teams we provide subject matter expertise that enables Kuiper Engineers to design and build best in class, from LRU rack design and provisioning to PCBA release, we traverse the full suite of services. As an organization, we are the schema connecting Kuiper Engineering teams to production.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
