We believe that advertising, when done well, can greatly enhance the value of the customer experience and generate a positive return on investment for our advertising partners.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Analytics and Insights Manager (AIM), to help scale our growing advertising business. The AIM is a key member of the Ads Product team at Amazon Advertising, working with account, sales, product, retail and other Amazon business partners to analyze and improve the performance of different Ad Products on Amazon. AIMs work with Amazon's unique data and translate it into high-quality and actionable insights and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of ad products and identify business opportunities. Day to day, AIM activities include analyzing key performance metrics of different ad products, developing data-driven insights and recommendations and communicating recommendations in a clear and compelling fashion to stakeholder teams. The strategic and consultative digital expertise of an AIM is critical to delivering the best return on investment for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

You Will

  • Leverage Amazon’s data and your understanding of our advertising products/business to deliver regular and bespoke analyses and insights which in turn can be used by Product team to ensure that Ad products are performing at optimal capacity. This is key to ensure the growth of advertising revenue

  • Demonstrate good analytical ability, and develop great expertise in Amazon’s proprietary metrics, working to constantly evolve how we analyze and communicate data driven insights to our advertisers

  • Demonstrate behavior that exemplifies the Amazon Leadership Principles

  • Be a proponent of data driven decision making

  • Present findings and insights in a consultative way to stakeholders and collaborate with the relevant internal teams in order to provide a complete solution

  • Stay abreast on newer technologies and ensure that they are used in the day to day work actively

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • 5+ years of data analysis experience

  • 5+ years of data visualization and reports tools experience

  • 5+ years of Tableau or equivalent tools experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
