Major Function

Responsible for communicating with clients to determine and define the requirements, scope, and objectives of Salesforce projects. Leads Salesforce project teams, planning and monitoring project timelines and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Actively contributes to cross-functional project teams, working in partnership to plan, manage and execute the successful delivery of Salesforce projects.

What Will You Do?  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:   ​ ​ ​ ​

  • Oversees Salesforce CRM projects or phases of more complex projects, to include:

  • Communicating with clients/business to determine and define project requirements, scope and objectives.

  • Leading project teams (often cross-functional).

  • Planning and monitoring project timelines and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and quality standards.

  • Quickly gains familiarity with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

  • Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems, analyzing issues and using judgment to make sound decisions.

  • Applies new methodologies and technical approaches to best resolve customer problems and meet their business needs.

  • Communicates frequently and accurately with the client, manager and leadership regarding project status.

  • Oversees the transition of Salesforce CRM projects from implementation phase to support and operation/go live phase. (i.e. writing test plans and overseeing user acceptance testing)

  • Addresses standard issues quickly and efficiently, escalates non-standard problems or issues to ensure prompt resolution.

  • Maintain and validate existing process documentation tied to the Salesforce CRM portfolio.

    What Do You Need?  

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related discipline. Equivalent work experience considered.

  • 2+ years of project management experience.

  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and project teams; experience with the Salesforce CRM platform is highly desirable.

  • Experience in Agile (Scrum), SDLC methodologies, and Waterfall.

  • CRM experience (i.e. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM platform); Salesforce administrative experience preferred (must have the desire to learn Salesforce)

  • Handles basic Salesforce administrative functions including user maintenance, reports and dashboards, data loads, custom fields, and other routine tasks.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work across functions and levels to develop system requirements with project team members.

Other Job-Related Components:

  • Reports to Strategic Technologies, working directly with Salesforce CRM Team.

  • Influential leadership of project team members.

  • Up to 10% travel required.

    Flexible Work Arrangements – This team is currently implementing a hybrid work schedule. The opportunity to collaborate in the office and work from home part-time, has promoted team-building and flexibility.

    Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case .
