The Global EHS and Sustainability Strategy and Operations Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s global EHS projects, sustainability initiatives, and ISO system implementation. This role ensures that the company’s EHS standards and sustainability goals are upheld across all operations and regions. The Director will also manage EHS training programs, promoting a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global EHS and Sustainability Project Management Office, PMO, ensuring alignment with company’s strategic objectives.

  • Develop and implement EHS and Sustainability project management methodologies, standards, and tools.

  • Coordinate with regional and functional leaders to ensure EHS compliance, risk mitigation, and sustainability goals are met.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of EHS and sustainability projects across the organization.

  • Monitor and report on the status of EHS and sustainability projects, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization, driving initiatives that improve the company’s environmental footprint.

  • Manage the EHS and Sustainability PMO budget and resources.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of EHS project management practices and sustainability initiatives through benchmarking and lessons learned.

  • Manage and coordinate EHS training programs across the organization, ensuring employees are adequately trained and informed about EHS policies, procedures, and sustainability goals.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO systems (such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), ensuring compliance with international standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Managementor related field.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in EHS, project management, sustainability initiatives, training management, and ISO system management.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, sustainability practices, and ISO systems.

  • Proficiency in project management software.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
