PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
This position will be responsible for leading a team to drive data-driven decision-making processes, providing valuable insights and optimizing HR strategies, processes and technology for CPKC. Provides a structured approach in developing and executing analytical storytelling that drives meaningful transformation and compelling reporting. This role requires a strong blend of analytical expertise, HR technology experience and strategic thinking to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data, including but not limited to employee demographics, performance metrics, turnover rates, and other relevant HR metrics
Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to present key HR insights and trends to stakeholders, including senior management, to inform strategic decision-making
Utilize statistical techniques and tools to identify patterns, correlations, and predictive models to enhance HR initiatives and programs
HR Metrics and KPIs:
Define, track, and analyze key HR metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
Collaborate with HR business partners and leaders to establish benchmarks, goals, and targets aligned with organizational objectives
Regularly monitor and evaluate HR metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to address challenges
Forecasting and Predictive Analytics:
Develop forecasting models to anticipate future workforce needs, talent gaps, and other HR-related trends
Leverage predictive analytics to identify potential risks and opportunities within the HR function and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
HR Processes and Technology:
Partner with key stakeholders in HR, Employee Services and Information Systems to proactively deliver strategic technology solutions that align to HR and business initiatives
Administer employee engagement/survey tool used to capture employee sentiments and insights and support other HR systems
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives and projects that drive organizational performance and enhance the employee experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study
Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in HR reporting, analytics and HR technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated people leadership to lead and manage a team of analysts
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
Experience using one or more dashboarding applications such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or Google Analytics preferred
Experience using HR systems like SAP or SuccessFactors preferred
SQL and/or Microsoft Access experience preferred

Management Conductor Program:
