Red River Endpoint Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

We are seeking a talented Endpoint Engineer proficient in troubleshooting performance issues using performance analytics and various performance tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows operating system architecture and design, coupled with extensive experience in identifying and resolving performance and stability issues in Windows 11 environments. The role will identify performance and error trends using the customer’s 1E DEX tool and collaborate with appropriate product or automation teams to implement automated hotfixes. This role will also be integrated into the knowledge article approval process as it relates to break/fix steps for applications or workstations, and then train and enable the service desk to leverage scripted hotfixes to fix recurring issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize performance analytics and tools to troubleshoot performance issues on Windows workstations.

  • Expertise in Windows Performance Analyzer and PerfMon for in-depth performance analysis.

  • Proficiency in Windows desktop operating system architecture, design, configuration, and policy management.

  • Knowledgeable in drivers, applications, and event log management on Windows workstations.

  • Identify and resolve root causes of performance and stability issues related to operating systems, workstation networking (WLAN, LAN), and applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and enhance system performance.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering roles.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting performance issues on Windows workstations.

  • Proficiency in Windows 11 environment.

  • Strong understanding of Windows desktop operating system architecture and design.

  • Experience with PC deployments using SCCM or Intune preferred.

  • Familiarity with DEX tools such as 1E, Nexthink, or Lakeside preferred.

  • Familiarity with scripting and automation preferred.

  • Experience with workstation monitoring tools.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to write knowledge articles and perform training to junior engineers

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

  • MD-102 - Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Preferred)

  • SC-900 - Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (Preferred)

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
