This is a Business Development Manager , Portfolio role with responsibility for expanding North Highland’s management consulting services in the local market into organizations that are not existing clients of our firm. The successful candidate will be expected to work in collaboration with the Consulting team to increase North Highland’s client portfolio.
Exciting work you will do:
Be a strategic advisor, trusted coach, and connect influencers across the firm and the broader community
Identify, assess, and solution transformative growth opportunities for our clients and develop those strategies to bring them to life
Creatively collaborate and manage work streams with our account teams to grow existing clients and build new client relationships with some of the most exciting brands in the world
Participate in business development pursuits from beginning stages through delivery
Be a thought leader within the firm by contributing to blog postings, podcasts, Points of View, etc
Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, and best practices
Manage account timeline, budget and other critical administration responsibilities
Develop your professional network through association memberships, speaking and writing engagements and community activities
What you will need:
10+ years of sales experience in management consulting, advisory, and/or professional services or a combination of both consulting and industry experience (Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities)
Demonstrated track record of successful ability to sell solution-based engagements to net new logos. Experience selling to BIG Enterprises (MUST HAVE)
Experience implementing and running new sales channels
Proposal development experience including the ability to effectively sell business solutions to clients
Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives and the community at large
Creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems
Experience selling non-tangibles
Ability to operate/influence without authority- strong collaborators
Strong general business acumen
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
Ability to travel 50% of the time between Charlotte, Chicago and East Coast
