Job Summary
Ignite your career in the heart of downtown Phoenix at Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar! Alongside Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, we’re seeking a passionate and skilled Executive Sous Chef to lead our Culinary team and elevate the landscape of sports entertainment.
Executes menus in accordance to brand standards and core signatures
Maintain recipes to meet core standards, ensuring quality and authenticity.
Train and delegate tasks to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assists in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation.
Oversee purchasing and inventory management to minimize waste and avoid shortages.
Oversee sanitation and operation of equipment in accordance with department procedures.
Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety and qualify.
Ensures show quality standards are maintained at all times.
Oversees purchasing and inventory with focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
Maintain recipes to meet core standards; uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality
Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guest to improve operations and guest experience.
Leads Culinary team through guidance, performance management, and training to ensure every team member delivers a great guest experience and adheres to quality standards.
Ensures all staff are maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
Fosters positive and collaborative working environment for staff
Communicate effectively with kitchen, management and front-of-house staff.
Assists with reducing operation costs; increasing productivity and monitors labor plan throughout shifts
Interviews, hires, trains, and develop team members.
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members.
Assists fellow team members when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to food safety regulations, best practices, and sanitation requirements
Adhere to all safety and sanitation requirements
Must be experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), E-mail, and the internet.
Previous experience using inventory management and purchasing software preferred
Valid food handler card, ServSafe certification and/or Alcohol certification may be required.
Open availability days, evenings, weekends, and/or Holidays.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a management role within the restaurant and/or sports entertainment industry.
Culinary degree preferred
Previous culinary experience, preferable 3 or more years in culinary management position
Physical demands:
Frequently lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
Frequently ascend/descend stairs
Frequent walking and standing
