Responsible for managing plant personnel to maximize quality and outputs in a manufacturing operation in a safe work environment. The facilitator will also be accountable for aligning all respective departments to achieve business goals. This role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products, diverse teams, etc.

Under limited direction, responsible for managing all operations related to manufacturing, materials, facilities, distribution, engineering and maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products in support of the business forecasts and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the daily operations of several manufacturing departments to ensure the implementation of the manufacturing strategic goals by maximizing productivity through the optimal use of equipment and personnel

  • Responsibilities include: planning and directing manufacturing and maintenance functions, supervising and developing individuals and teams to achieve expected performance standards and initiating changes for improved products and processes.

  • Develop and support initiatives to meet quality standards in manufacturing and improve in process quality.

  • Ensure correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.)

  • Responsible for communicating measures for accountability to associates and assisting associates in meeting job responsibilities. Apply associate involvement methods as needed to increase associate responsibility and ownership.

  • Manage human resources to ensure qualified associates are given the opportunity and direction for growth, developmental, and promotional opportunities.

  • Ensure fair and consistent administration of policies in all actions pertaining to associates in area of responsibility. This includes proper communication, administration of attendance and discipline programs, and all company policies.

Qualifications

Education:

BS degree or equivalent in engineering, business, other technical degree, or equivalent experience, skills, and training.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with a focus on outstanding leadership ability.

  • Position requires proven leadership skills in associate involvement and teamwork, initiative, creativity, assertiveness, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure achieving consistently high results in quality, efficiency and compliance through individual and team efforts.

  • Self-motivated and capable of taking a lead position in completing duties in results-oriented work environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Experience in the operation of equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and manufacturing processes such as Just in Time (JIT), KANBAN, and pull systems.

Other:

  • 2nd shift 2:30 pm-11:30 pm Monday-Friday, occasional weekend shifts

  • Overtime work is required to support manufacturing equipment schedules.

  • It may require domestic travel up to 10% annually.
