Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Decatur, Alabama. Our team is engaged in the telecom industry, and we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Responsibilities:

• Develop effective and efficient accounting processes and procedures.

• Proactively resolve accounting issues.

• Analyze actual costs versus standard costs and prepare reports of variances.

• Prepare checks for invoices and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations while assisting with monthly close processes.

• Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct internal audits.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Meet processing and reporting deadlines.

• Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.

• Perform other job duties as required. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Background working in manufacturing is required

• Expertise in Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis

• Proficiency in SAP software is a plus

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to prepare and adjust Journal Entries

• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures

• Understanding of Annual Compensation plans

• Proficiency in using MS Great Plains Solomon software is a plus

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation

• Experience in preparing Monthly Financial Statements

• Ability to speak Korean is strongly preferred.
