Zimmerman Advertising Sr. Project Manager / Scrum Master in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Overall Objective

Within the Agile Scrum framework, the PM/SM functions as a primary manager and owner for the prioritization, specification, and end-user acceptance testing of assigned software and website projects. The role also works closely with key stakeholders to understand and document project scope and convey that vision to the scrum teams. It’s the PM/SM’s responsibility to help define product features and enhancements while also grooming and prioritizing the development teams’ backlog of work.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the interests and needs of key internal and client stakeholders.

  • P roactively set, communicate and manage expectations with stakeholders regarding timelines, release dates, deliverables, system issues and technical resolutions.

  • Help create, communicate and manage detailed project scope and business requirement documents related to system features, enhancements and bug resolutions.

  • Support the scrum team’s use of business requirements and scope documents to execute development sprints.

  • Independently develop and manage against project plans and timelines.

  • Plan and schedule team member assignments and activities based on skill set and need.

  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to address them.

  • Coordinate with the QA team to ensure tests adequately cover requirements.

  • Coordinate end user acceptance tests with stakeholders.

  • Identify project risks and collaborate with team members to prevent or mitigate them.

  • Support production system monitoring and maintenance plans to ensure the agency meets applicable service level agreements.

  • Coordinate new product and feature roll-out and training to the user community.

  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide internal and external technical troubleshooting.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

  • 5+ years of proven IT Project Management and/or Agile software development.

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) and/or Business Analyst Certification (PMI-PBA) preferred.

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Workfront a plus.

  • A strong understanding of software development fundamentals.

  • Excellent facilitation, writing and inter-personal communication skills with people at all levels of an organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently with the common sense to escalate issues when necessary.

  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency and commitment to get the job done in a timely and accurate manner resulting in high quality results.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Project with the ability to self-learn new computer systems quickly.
