MetLife CST Strategy & Planning Consultant in Greenville, South Carolina

The Opportunity

The role will report directly to the AVP of Strategy, Planning, and Operations for Corporate Systems Technology (CST) and lead strategic communication and change management execution of our multi-year technology transformation. This role will act as a leader and liaison between the CST CIO and other internal and external stakeholders. The role will frequently facilitate messaging of complex technology initiatives to executive leadership and partner with Sr. executives to develop metrics, performance measures and reports that support business objectives and results.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future

  • Manages and implements CST communication and change management strategy.

  • Helps translate senior management vision into a department-wide vision and strategy, with service level and business objectives as goals.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with ability to communicate complex technical messages and trade-offs to tell a compelling story.

  • Creates and manages CST microsite content; will be responsible for refresh of current site and change management/communication plan.

  • Uses strong business judgment to work autonomously on stakeholder requests across CS teams.

  • Act as champion and change agent on behalf of CST, including MyVoice and Employee Engagement events.

  • Demonstrated proficiency facilitating organizational change management initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deliverables, honor commitments, and "can do" attitude in challenging but exciting environment.

What You Need to Succeed

  • The role provides an opportunity to interact and communicate with CS leaders and employees, key stakeholders across 20 MetLife Business Partners (e.g., Finance, Actuarial, Legal, HR).  As such, the ability to adapt communication style and navigate a large, matrixed organization is essential.

  • Versatile skill set in areas such as stakeholder management, communications, and organizational change management.

  • Successful track record and preferably have experience in employee engagement or another strategic corporate role. 

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations and communications using MS PowerPoint and Word as appropriate for key stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong quantitative and critical thinking capabilities

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with global and virtual teams

  • 3+ years of experience successfully navigating a matrix organization, mapping stakeholder needs and developing stakeholder-level materials
