Position Summary

As a Senior Engineer of Quality, Stability & SRE you will play a key role in Commercial, Network\Provider and Affiliates organization with focus on software quality and environment stability. You will be accountable for maturing quality operations and system stability of the Lower Lifecycle and Production environments. You will be an essential partner in the overall QES domain working with a managed service provider to ensure fundamental principles are embraced and improved. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will prioritize automation, scalability, and resilience to safeguard our services consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

This role requires a highly technical background with an engineering mindset paired with a mature hands-on knowledge of automation and monitoring tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for maturing quality engineering across CNP organization

  • Partner with 3rd party provider and development teams to accelerate functional and regression automation coverage

  • Define system and application performance analysis, utilizing monitoring tools, logging systems, and other relevant metrics, to get ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement

  • Provide primary operational and engineering support for large-scale distributed software applications

  • Participate on key incident calls to ensure availability and uptime of critical systems are provided timely and shepherd key resources from across the enterprise

  • Perform regular performance assessments while helping to ensure systems meet defined service-level objectives (SLOs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Provide enterprise-wide support with accurately documented procedures, enabling them to proficiently address customer complaints and deliver optimal service

  • Fosters and steers new ideas through innovation while leading improvement initiatives or best practice functions

Required Qualifications

  • 3 + years of experience in complex distributed system/application concepts to ensure QA delivery of enterprise initiatives involving multiple disparate systems

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering with related automation experience and/ or Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration, or related roles

  • 3 + years of experience in QA industry tools (ex. UIPath, BDD Automation, Selenium, Cypress, Rally etc.)

    • 3 + years of experience in APM and Logging tools (Splunk, AppDynamics) - 1-3 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).- 3 + years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - A year or more experience with incident management, performance monitoring, and capacity planning tools. Preferred Qualifications

    • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues swiftly.

  • Experience implementing and improving SRE metrics

  • Experience setting up LGTM tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus)

  • Experience DORA metrics and automating deployments for entire CI/CD pipeline using DevSecOps tool base.

  • Multiple years' demonstrated knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

    Education-

    Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience(HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$124,372.50 - $247,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
