The Data Center Controls team is looking for an exceptional individual to join our organization as a Data Center Controls Coordinator with a history of high performance and creativity.

The Data Center Controls Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the project management of Capital Expenditure projects, service and preventative maintenance planning and scheduling, and vendor coordination and management.

They will use industry best practices and collaborate with various stakeholders and vendors to track and manage schedules and budgets, support various data collections requirements while demonstrating achievements through metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and value creation.

Key activities for this position include reviewing project backlog, procedures, and reports to estimate labor hours, materials, tools and equipment, and schedule activities to support maintenance, service, and delivery of Capital Expenditure projects.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Controls Coordinator will have a strong focus on Amazon's leadership principles of Customer Obsession, Insist on the Highest Standards, Bias for Action and Ownership.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify specific safety hazards associated with planned maintenance activities

• Estimate required work hours associated with work order tasks and total work duration

• Be responsible for screening method operating procedures (MOP) and overall scheduling of maintenance activities given available resources, criticality of work, and available maintenance windows

• Be responsible for providing support, guidance and recommendations to the controls team to insure cost management and analysis across a portfolio of fast paced projects.

• Maintaining and tracking status of budgets, and spends timely and accurately

• Reviewing and obtaining approval on vendor invoices associated with the maintenance activities.

• Provide administrative support on capital expenditure projects and daily tasks

• Compile and organize project updates, financials and schedules in a reportable format

• Applying critical thinking to make quality judgments that drive results

• Effectively communicating to multiple stakeholders on a regional level regarding ideas and procedures that will enhance and optimize future work activities

• Reviewing annual maintenance costs and making budget recommendations.

• Follow-up on identified action items from the preventative maintenance with site controls engineers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting, cost controls, project management

  • 1+ years’ of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and project management software.

  • 1+ years’ experience working with enterprise software and an understanding of standard work process.

  • 1+ years’ experience planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, results oriented, high energy and self-motivated.

  • Customer service and project management experience.
