WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As the EMEA Privacy Program and Governance Manager and EU Privacy Officer, you will be a leader in Nike’s EMEA Privacy group – championing compliance and supporting the development and operation of Nike’s privacy program. Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and manage the EMEA Privacy Program & Governance team responsible for coordinating and monitoring Nike’s privacy portfolio and compliance work in the EMEA region, including two direct reports

  • Collaborate with the Privacy Legal team to translate legal requirements into privacy program deliverables and processes (together with Global Privacy Advisors).

  • Collaborate with Nike’s Global Privacy Program lead to ensure alignment and collaboration with our vision.

  • Drive programs, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for privacy compliance processes in support of our privacy strategy and principles.

  • Evaluate privacy program maturity, efficiency and report out to EMEA and Global stakeholders on the status as well as lead remediation of gaps and special projects.

  • Leverage key performance indicators to track, manage, measure and report on metrics across the organization related to key privacy and compliance trends.

Managing external and internal stakeholders, you will lead the development of processes and tools to support key initiatives and work closely with our Legal, Privacy Advisers, Information Security, Technology, and audit teams. You will detail and streamline various compliance initiatives (including audits, new compliance requirements, etc.) with project managers to activate implementation and transition plans. You will help develop and maintain training programs for various business clients. You'll analyze and respond to third-party requests for information and maintain compliance documentation. You will communicate advice and Program status in a succinct, data-driven manner, including at an executive level.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • Experience in strategically crafting and driving program management in compliance, operational risk management, enterprise compliance, audit or implementation of control frameworks with a focus on Privacy.

  • Expertise in European and national data protection laws and practices, including GDPR.

  • The ability to communicate the importance of privacy as a business differentiator and core value beyond legal compliance.

  • Experience managing people and teams.

  • Comfortable identifying, assessing and calling out risk (across different functions and levels of the business)

  • Bias for action with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize high volume workloads

  • Strong analytic and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment in cross-functional and cross-geo teams, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Working experience of data protection tools or management platforms would be an advantage
