Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Resource specializing in Corrective Action and Non-Conformance (NC) resolution in Huntsville, AL. This is a direct, full-time opportunity with benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving engineering issues, including drawing markups and CAD model corrections. This role also involves managing the process of pushing engineering changes through to release, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project timelines. Additionally, the candidate will create spreadsheets and tracking tools to set priorities and manage burndown lists effectively.

Job Duties:

  1. Corrective Action Implementation:
  • Identify root causes of engineering issues and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Develop and execute corrective action plans to address non-conformance reports (NCRs).

  1. Non-Conformance Resolution:
  • Analyze non-conformance reports to determine the best resolution path.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve non-conformances efficiently.

  1. Drawing Markups and CAD Model Corrections:
  • Review and markup engineering drawings to reflect corrective actions.

  • Update and correct CAD models to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications.

  • Ensure all revisions are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

  1. Engineering Release Process:
  • Manage the process of pushing engineering changes through to release.

  • Ensure that all changes are thoroughly reviewed, approved, and documented before release.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes.

  1. Spreadsheet and Tracking Tool Creation:
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools to manage and prioritize corrective actions and non-conformance resolutions.

  • Create burndown lists and other tracking mechanisms to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on the status of corrective actions and non-conformance resolutions to management.

Required:

  • **Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality/engineering role focused on corrective action and non-conformance resolution.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo/Windchill).

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software.

  • Experience in creating and managing tracking tools and priority lists.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Preferred:

Understanding of Rocket Engine subsystems and their integration into the manufacturing process.

Knowledge of Quality Processes (NDI, Blue Light, X-Ray, CMM,ETC)

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
