Aston Carter Accounting Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
Aston Carter is hiring an Accounting Manager that will sit 100% remote. This position offers competitive pay with a flexible work schedule.
Job Description:
Oversee the operations of the accounting department staff, including the design of an organizational
structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
Oversee all general ledger accounting
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
Maintain the chart of accounts
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and records
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Manage corporate cash and treasury functions
Manage Invoicing and collection of Client Receivables
Document accounting processes/procedures
Assist business teams with payment processing functions (e.g. payment and adjustment files)
Manage unclaimed property escheatment process
Manage client loan reserve accounting and overage release process
Create efficiencies in operational processes to reduce expenses/increase revenue
Provide financial analyses as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA is preferred
Full Cycle Accounting in recent role including Position: Accounting Manager transaction posting and financial report creation
Prior Experience Managing a direct report (1-3 years minimum)
Ability to create and analyze financial reports
Excel (pivot tables, formulas, v look ups)
