FCS Financial Administrative Assistant in Jefferson City, Missouri

Description/Job Summary

At FCS Financial, part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Team! FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today. At FCS, we seek individuals who share passion for agriculture, rural living and helping people achieve their goals and dreams! The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Risk Management Team and various departments by providing diverse administrative assistance. Responsibilities include a range of tasks such as reporting, tracking audits, and offering preparation support for board and management committee material, among other essential administrative duties to support the Association. The person selected for this position must be friendly, detail-oriented, pro-active, outgoing, and confident!

The starting salary for this position is $40,500, however salary may be commensurate with experience.

This position is located at our Central Office location in Jefferson City, Missouri.

This position is open until filled.

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Report Generation

  • Gathers report requirements from requestor

  • Determines location of data needed, including external data sources

  • Designs reports to best represent the data

  • Produces reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly basis

  • Reviews reports for accuracy

  • Distributes reports to requestor and/or posts on the intranet

Letter of Credit and CMG Participation Certificates

  • Create Letter of Credit's for branches and maintain list

  • Assist with Participation Certificates from Compeer Capital Markets, maintain active list

Map Production

  • Produces logistical maps based on criteria provided by requestor

  • Identifies location of data to be included in maps and selects the best process to import/compile the data

  • Distributes maps to requestor and/or posts on the intranet

Marketing and Member Public Relations Support

  • Maintains and distributes marketing materials

  • Assists with PR/ADV bills received and distributes information

  • Assists with Scholarship info received and distributes information

  • Distributes Gift cards, requests activation, maintains and balances log

Fleet Management

  • Requests and reviews vehicle bids from Compeer Financial

  • Coordinates the auction of older vehicles; reviews and approves minimum acceptable bids

  • Determines repair needs for central office pool vehicles and approves repairs

Territorial Concurrence and Notifications

  • Maintains daily territorial concurrence notification requests

  • Determines of all required documentation has been received for territorial concurrences

Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, administrative support or related field

  • 1 years of experience in an office environment in a support or technical position

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong technical aptitude and computer utilization skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint, and other systems as needed

  • Working knowledge of database software and reporting tools

  • Skill in applying processes and procedures to data to come to make a logical decision

  • Skill in gathering, compiling and organizing information

  • Skill in utilizing time in an efficient and effective manner

  • Skill in focusing and concentrating on details

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers

  • Verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers and supervisor

  • Skill in performing a variety of duties

  • Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
