Aerospace and defense manufacturer in Lancaster, PA is looking for a 3rd shift CNC Operator. Ideal candidate will have experience in CNC machine operation, but willing to train someone with a few years of machine operation in an industrial environment.

3rd shift: 11pm-7am Sun - Thurs

Pay Rate: $20 - $25/hr (Depends on level of experience i.e. programming, set up, tooling changes, etc.)

Job Description

• Sets up and operates CNC machining centers to produce parts to customer specifications

• De-Burrs parts and cleans as time allows

• Inputs simple programs at the operator panel and loads and off-loads production programs

• Creates fixtures for production parts as necessary

• Using written and verbal instructions and working from blueprints sets up CNC machining centers for single parts and production runs

• Submits first article parts to QC and analyses inspection reports to make adjustments to programs and set ups to produce an acceptable part

• Use band saws and simple tools such as Hex Wrenches, Screw Drivers and Soft Hammers.

• Changes dull tooling and adjusts machine offsets.

• Checks part dimensions micrometers, gage pins, Vernier calipers, drop indicators, comparators, thread gages and various other precision tools.

this is a contract-for-hire position with intent to hire on candidate at the completion of the contract period
