Good Sam is seeking a passionate and driven Manager of Customer Research and Insights to join our team. You will be a key member of the Marketing team and will be hands-on in conducting market research and analysis, delivering industry insights to the organization, product trend information, and customer and consumer insights to drive enhanced strategy and decision making. This role will oversee customer research programs to ensure our brand experience is superior, our messages are differentiated and connected with the customer needs, and support innovation by staying ahead of consumer behavior changes.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and oversee qualitative and quantitative research projects to gain deep insights into customer,perceptions, satisfaction, and behaviors. Provide actionable insights from all research projects.

  • Analyze market data, customer data, sales data, and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth, innovation in product or brand experience, and market expansion among others. Ensure findings are communicated to the organization

  • Provide actionable insights and guidance for strategic product development, marketing communication, and customer engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated go-to-market strategies based on consumer insights and industry trends, leading storytelling with data insights.

  • Provide data-driven, actionable recommendations based on macro and micro trend shifting.

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market trends, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and stay ahead in the market.

  • Present research findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, enabling data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Need to Have for the Role:

  • Bachelors degree required, Master's degree a plus

  • Minimum 5+ years of primary research experience

  • Proficiency in fundamental quantitative and qualitative primary research methodologies and analytic approaches; ability to match appropriate methodologies to business needs and insights questions. 

  • Experience and expertise in core market research principles -- sample design, data collection and analysis techniques, appropriate action standards.

  • Must be able to extract and interpret data and research output, discriminating meaningful differences and learning.

  • Ability to mine cultural, socioeconomic, and business trends for strategic opportunity areas.

  • Create professional and persuasive PowerPoint presentations incorporating data, relevant insights and information; visual aids, charts, tables, graphs and short video clips, when appropriate.

  • Proven track record of translating data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data to diverse audiences.

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
