Why this job matters

The role will primarily be responsible for (1) forecasting, tracking, analysing and budgeting for the Commissions spend including actively making recommendations to optimise the return of spend (2) update and provide into Commercial teams the latest Omni KPIs with understanding of the key movements vs YoY vs target and to provide recommendation on the back of analysis (3) input into the MBR process providing analysis and updating of monthly output slides.

What you’ll be doing

  • Business partner Commissions team and associated finance teams, analysing, reporting and recommendations and presenting back on performance vs spend.

  • Be the key Finance lead for Commissions Board, attended by Commercial channels. Provide the Finance slides to showcase performance vs spend, vs targets with suitable recommendations.

  • Provide monthly forecasting and budgeting support, playing a key role in the MTP inputs pertaining to Commission spend.

  • Provide the monthly outputs for Omni KPIs that are shared at Exec level. Collate and analyse outputs with the aim of meaningful observations / recommendations to improve Commercial performance.

  • Play a role in the production of the MBR deck used for monthly Commercial MD + team Finance playback

  • Strong links with Central Finance and Trading Finance alongside the Commercial teams

  • Adhoc analysis / deep drives into Commercial areas of focus

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Finance. An understanding of commercial dynamics, channel costs would be a nice to have

  • Strong excel skills with the ability to analyse data to conclude on next steps / recommendations

  • Comfortable in producing PowerPoint presentations and strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clear key messages, often to senior management

  • Ability to identify the root causes through financial analysis. Logical thought process to decipher information.

  • Proven ability to create strong links with business partners and other areas of Finance. Ability to quickly gain respect and credibility amongst peers and stakeholders

  • Hands on attitude
