We are looking to recruit industry experts and experienced Management Consultants who have a passion for technology and digital. If you have experience of delivering technology projects or initiatives combined with a desire to grow our client base then this could be the ideal role for you.

We are looking for someone to join the Agile, DevOps and Digital Transformation community within our Tech & Digital Service Line. This is a high growth area for us and we are constantly looking to increase our breadth of projects and depth of expertise. You will be working with our teams helping FT250 companies transform how they work with technology so they can compete in today’s market – critically being able to bridge the gap between traditional CIOs and Digital leads in these companies.

Digital Transformation Consultant (Manager Grade)

Requirements

Digital – Know how IT, Tech, Dev, Ops, DevOps functions and can be modernised and be made highly effective

Transformation – Have delivered projects with significant technical/digital change

The types of experience we are looking for include but are not limited to the following;

Required skills

  • Worked as part of a technology operations teams and modernised it to support the needs of a demanding business and/or had a successful background in engineering/infrastructure, having led teams of poly-skilled and cross-functional teams, with a dev/test/infrastructure/DevOps remit

  • Helped to form high performing technology teams (made of tech, data, business and any other relevant roles)

  • Convert legacy ways of working to digital ways

  • Used modern approaches (Data driven, AI, Kanban and DevOps).

  • Experience working in medium to large technology departments

  • Demonstrable experience in leading major system replacement projects

  • Experience of DevOps tools for configuration management, containerisation, test & build, monitoring & alerting e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, New Relic or similar

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly to both technologists and business stakeholders

The Consulting Piece

  • A drive to find/develop new concepts, ideas, techniques and best practices

  • Advising and guiding clients through the transition from traditional ways of implementing and working with Technology to modern practices. This will include facilitating changes centred around people, processes, technology and culture

  • An understanding of the common issues and challenges clients can face when embarking on a technology transformation

  • Ability to review client’s current situations and to make tactical and strategic recommendations

  • The ability to advise business clients on appropriate solutions and direction

  • Creative thinking and ability to seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems

  • Bringing relevant subject matter expertise to clients

  • Formally managing others as a Career Coach and/or as a Reviewer on one or more projects

  • Upskilling more junior people so they have the tools and knowledge to work on these types of projects

  • Working across multiple clients in different industries (not all projects will be full-time)

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
