Position Summary & Objectives:

Commercial Architecture

  • Provide the commercial lead on client opportunities within the EU region with a focus on maximizing profit, identifying, and mitigating risks, increasing win rates, and delivering commercial innovation to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.

  • Lead with commercial innovation and commercial thought leadership in Client opportunities to differentiate NTT from our competition.

  • Develop new commercial models to provide a competitive advantage to NTT whilst satisfying the needs of our clients

  • Build close and strong working relationships with all Service Divisions to ensure a clear understanding of services, costs, margins, and risks that exist on each opportunity from both parties.

  • Responsible for completion of:

  • Commercial Model

  • Client Pricing templates

  • Risk Register

  • P&L

  • Cash flow forecast

  • Asset Financing (where required)

  • Undertake an agency treatment assessment for each opportunity to identify which elements of the deal, if any, can be treated as an agency

  • Ownership of the overall risk of the opportunity, whilst identifying areas of risk mitigation

  • Peer-to-peer review and brainstorming to ensure alternative views and possibilities are considered at each opportunity.

Commercial Assurance and Governance

  • Responsible for ensuring the required Commercial Governance is followed and completed at the following levels

  • Country

  • Region (where required)

  • Service Division (where required)

  • Group level (where required)

  • Presentation of the Commercial section of the Client opportunity on the above forums

  • Work closely with the EU Service Delivery Assurance and Legal to ensure alignment on their respective assurance processes

  • Use the standardized templates

Country Support

  • Provide Client facing support to the sales community

  • Provide training to the wider country teams on commercial elements that they would benefit from being aware of/trained upon

  • Build relationships with the country teams

  • Work with the country teams to ensure they are clear on the process to follow regarding engagement of Commercial resourcing

  • Attend country qualification/governance meetings

  • Provide handover of the commercial model, commitments, and terms to the accountable in-country teams

Requirements: Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Being fluent in English, or any other European language skills is a significant benefit

  • Minimum of 10 years’ commercial architecture/management experience in a multi-national organization ideally within the IT or Telecoms industry.

  • Experience of building complex commercial models and P&L’s

  • Client-facing experience

  • Finance based University degree (or higher)

  • Advantageous if qualified in or studying towards a Finance qualification such as CIMA or ACCA

  • Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of financial and accounting practices

  • Advanced Excel skills, Intermediate in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to successfully negotiate and influence to achieve objectives and be comfortable in a facilitation role

  • Occasional European travel required
