Description:

As a Cost Analyst within the Canadian manufacturing organization you will be expected to build strong relationships with business partners throughout the organization and present accurate, timely financial insight toexecutives within the organization. Supported by a team of financial analyst in Poland, you will coordinate the different month-end activities, including accounting control processes, forecasts, and results/variance analysis.

-Lead the month-end closing and forecasting processes (variance analysis, monthly forecasting, yearly Budget and 5-year plan)

-Participates in the development of business cases for various Capital acquisitions

-Support Business unit managers and general manager for various analysis and ad hoc requests

-Participate in internal control activities according to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) recommendations. Included are investment audits, fixed asset creation and physical counts.

-Key support for reduction of inventory and scrap levels within the organization.

-Act as a leader in communicating risks and opportunities to management by establishing a partnership and a strong working relationship with business.

-Support various Government Collaboration requests/audits through exchanges with Taxation, technology collaboration office, financial accounting, and Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting

-5 plus years experience in a cost accounting or analyst role working for a manfacturing company.

-CPA title mandatory

-Outstanding communication skills in French and English.

-Strong knowledge of Excel is mandatory, SAP is used daily.

-Ability to sustain a high level of pressure in a fast paced environment;

-Adaptable, communicator, autonomous with a positive attitude.
