Data Strategy, Expert Practitioner

Data & Analytics is North Highland’s leading growth area and we are looking for an expert practitioner in our Data Strategy area to make an impact with our west coast team. This role is primarily responsible for growing portfolio accounts and developing data strategies and roadmaps and seeing these through to delivery on data and analytics work using modern data platforms and analytical techniques.

The amazing work you’ll get to do with North Highland will include:

  • Collaborate creatively with our client account teams to grow existing and build new client relationships with some of the most exciting brands in the world

  • Show a bias to action through high quality work delivered on time and on budget to our clients

  • Provide strategic thinking, solutions, roadmaps and project leadership for all Data & Analytics work

  • Put your team’s best ideas into action through planning and management

  • Play a central role in your team’s growth through coaching and constructive review of ongoing engagements.

  • Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques and best practices including prototyping new architecture methods, tools and products that might provide future value to our clients

  • Be a thought leader by contributing to blog postings or white papers

  • Be part of the global thought leadership team on agile, digital transformation, cloud analytics, and modern data & analytics concepts

The ideal person will have:

  • A solid background in growing a data and analytics business through strong delivery and bringing new ideas in a consulting environment

  • Financial services Data Governance and IT Controls expertise

  • Background/experience in risk/regulatory drivers for data governance is a plus

  • Deep knowledge in Modern Data Strategy and Governance, and Business Intelligence solutions Experience with design, development and deployment of complex data and/or analytical solutions

  • Experience with data and analytics in a marketing function from segmentation through effectiveness

  • The ability to galvanize client stakeholders and teammates into action for a common goal through collaboration, building consensus, and authentically establishing credibility

  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills with wide variety of stakeholders primarily in business and corporate functions

  • Demonstrated success at developing a high-quality human experience through coaching, leadership and career development

  • A well-articulated sense of purpose and vision for your life and career

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other related fields

  • Travel: primarily west coast travel but periodic national travel may come up.
