Functional Title: Product Manager and TraderCorporate Title: Assistant Vice PresidentDepartment: Fixed IncomeReports To: Head of Fixed incomeOvertime Eligible (Y/N): NPosition SummaryNippon Life Global Investors Americas, Inc. seeks an adaptable team player to join us as an AVP, Product Manager and Trader. This individual will be responsible for analyzing each portfolio and executing credit related orders in compliance with trading procedures and portfolio guidelines. Essential Duties/Function:•Analyze each portfolio and advise portfolio managers in accordance with guidelines, customer needs and risk-rewards.•Engage in value additive conversations and solutions (index analysis, spread trend monitoring, relative value, trade ideas, complex trading situations, alternative investments/comparable securities, New Issue color, etc.)•Execute portfolio manager generated credit related orders in compliance with trading procedures and portfolio guidelines.•Build relationships with the broker/dealer community to obtain valuable bids and offers from them, facilitate improved new issue allocations, market intelligence and act as a point of contact for the platform.•Participate in internal meetings with Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts as part of the investment decision making process.•Increase efficiency of execution and help build automated solutions for the desk’s processes and order flow.•Miscellaneous duties as assigned.Experience/Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related concentration; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.•At least 3-5 years of experience in credit areas, fixed income and fund investing with an understanding of the broad financial environment; trading experience preferred.•Strong command of MS Office software and advanced Excel; proficiency with Bloomberg and related automated trading tools (primarily marketAxess). •Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.•Detail oriented, pro-active and able to excel in a highly collaborative global team.•A flexible team player able to adapt to change.Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus based on qualitative and quantitative factors.

Minimum Salary: 120,000 Maximum Salary: 160,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
