Insight Global Bilingual Clinical Supervisor in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description

As a Clinical Counseling Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for the direct supervision and training of the clinical staff. This individual will also be responsible for the successful administration of the program, along with ensuring its effectiveness, compliance, and excellence in serving children in care and their families.

This position is expected to function effectively with minimal supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

OB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and evaluate clinical treatment approaches of the program's clinical staff;

  • Provide weekly individual supervision to clinical staff and may include case management staff in some locations, while working to build a cohesive team and maintain positive staff morale;

  • Manage staff workload, case assignment, and other needed interventions required by staff to ensure quality services;

  • May still manage a caseload and other duties of a clinician in some branch locations;

  • Review, approve and ensure timely submission of all direct reports and other relevant documents;

  • Provide regular feedback to staff writing professional reports, including clinical depth and breadth of service and concrete clinical progress and goals;

  • Ensure effective program orientation, training, and family assessments that produce competent and well-prepared resource families to meet the special needs of children and to work effectively with expectant and birth families;

  • Oversee operational compliance and ensure staff are supervised consistent with work demands, agency expectations, and licensing requirements;

  • Ensure agency policies and procedures are enforced through employee evaluations, conference request, time sheets, and reimbursement vouchers;

  • Ensure effective program operations through selection, training, development and motivation of engaged, supported and competent staff who serve our clients with excellence;

  • Actively work with staff to develop team atmospheres within their departments and establish supportive and productive work environments;

  • Ensure that staff receive ongoing clinical supervision each month that is pertinent to the work, to include trauma informed trainings;

  • Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures related to the clinical services program.

  • Assist in the development and facilitation of other trainings throughout the organization, as needed;

  • Participate in meetings with families that need clinical support and connect with families that need additional support throughout the process;

  • Represent Bethany's interests and ensure that Bethany takes a leadership position among provider agencies that prepare our staff clinically and the ongoing training and education of staff and families;

  • Develop strategic alliances with other service providers to ensure that children and families at Bethany have excellent access to all needed services;

  • Participate in agency leadership meetings as needed, as well as other various leadership development or program development opportunities;

  • Stay abreast of current trends, clinical practices, trauma information, and legislation through networking and publications in an effort to develop new practices that meet changing needs of our community or to diversify our services;

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's level degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field of study from an accredited college;

  • At least three (3) years of working experience with youth and adolescents who have complex trauma histories;

  • At least one (1) year of experience supervising others;

  • Active professional licensure or registration in the state of the work location;

  • Must be Bilingual;

  • Must have a broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of social work as acquired through a Master's level degree;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;

  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service;

  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;

  • Must possess a willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends;

  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;

  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience to operate a vehicle on behalf of the client. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;

  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;

  • Documentation of immunity to vaccine preventable diseases or the willingness to receive vaccination, or seek an exemption; null
