Robert Half Financial Project Manager in New Hyde Park, New York

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Financial Project Manager in the Non-Profit sector. The primary job function will be to assist with the re-organization of the finance department and the implementation of Sage Intacct. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the Sage Intacct implementation project

• Assist in the re-organization of the Finance department and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Finalize the company Chart of Accounts prior to implementation

• Create workflows and collaborate with the implementer to ensure accuracy with the roll out

• Establish an internal team to assist with implementation

• Manage and resolve issues resulting from user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Monitor and manage financial projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget

• Use Sage Intacct and Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software to manage financial data and generate reports

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including the CFO and other department heads, to discuss and resolve financial matters

• Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with financial regulations and standards

Requirements

• Candidate must possess strong financial management skills and knowledge.

• Previous experience working as a Financial Project Manager or in a similar role is essential.

• Previous experience working with Non-Profits.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software is required.

• Must have excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• Certification such as Certified PMP or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

• Ability to develop and implement financial strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
