Summary

The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for driving daily operations of the back of house, under the leadership and direction of the Kitchen Manager, while delivering excellent customer service when interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

•    Effectively lead a shift, monitoring breaks and flow of foot traffic •    Responsible for opening and closing procedures in partnership with other members of management  •    Train new team members on back of house operations, and provide continued on the job training to back of house employees •    Assist with scheduling for hourly employees and help manage hours based upon the needs of the business while following break compliance per company and state laws  •    Work with management to develop and implement new operating systems and protocols to optimize efficiency •    Work with management to generate/update operating procedures and any supporting materials required for operation •    Assist in identifying operational and staffing opportunities and develop/implement creative and effective solutions •    Ordering, stocking and replenishing items needed for service •    Conduct weekly inventory for back of house and liaise with Store Manager •    Conduct weekly and month end cost of goods report and work with Kitchen Manager on variances  •    Monitor food cost, portion and waste control related to kitchen operations •    Monitor operation systems to better optimize kitchen and back of house functions •    Foster positive Chobani culture among team members and customers •    Monitor food quality and operations in back of house •    Ensure DOH compliance and occupational health and safety compliance is met at all times •    Assist with café-related events as they occur •    Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

•    1+ years of related experience •    Strong ability to multi-task •    Excellent brand knowledge •    Ability to perform under pressure without constant supervision •    Ability to anticipate needs based on environmental and guest cues •    Ability to work a variety of stations •    Ability to lead a team and diffuse any work related issues •    Excellent communication skills •    Excellent customer service skills
