Associate Vice President, Product Management” sought by Global X Management Company, LLC d/b/a Global X ETFS (“Global X” or “Global X Management Company”), headquartered at 605 Third Avenue, 43rd Floor, New York, NY 10158. This would also be the location out of which the role will be based long-term. Position is a permanent, immediately available, job opportunity that does not require travel. Must live in New York City or surrounding area (so as to be within a reasonable, commuting distance of corporate headquarters and the worksite address, given above, in New York, NY). Note that while regularized telecommuting (i.e., exclusively or predominately working remotely from home), this historically was not permitted pre-pandemic, the firm, like so many United States businesses, it had to relax this starting in 2020 due to COVID-19. A limited telecommuting benefit now consequently is freely available to all staff; a hybrid approach and model has been adopted. Under this, the organization asks and expects that at least fifty percent of all work time will be performed from Global X New York City corporate headquarters (doubling as worksite here, with full address, given above). Apart from this, telecommuting from home is allowed, up to fifty percent of the time therefore as well. Corporate support of such an arrangement (of home and office split), this will continue indefinitely going forward. Traditional, job description now follows.This is a professional position in finance, financial modeling and analysis, one featuring contribution to the firm’s ecosystem and product range of exchange-traded funds (“ETFs”), specifically spanning income, thematic growth, international access, and other financial products. Involves review of existing ETFs and respective indexes; addressing “due diligence” inquiries and conducting “due diligence” in support of ongoing, fund-index maintenance and index providers, using statistical measurement and analysis; builds, develops and applies internal and proprietary financial models using Microsoft Excel; performs financial modeling and analysis; back-testing of financial models; market forecasting in finance; and applies predictive and statistical analytics to monitor performance of ETFs. Role also specifically contributes to definition of metrics to measure expected financial returns, including performance of ETFs; it identifies and calculates key financial variables, action indicators and numerical valuations, pertinent to ETFs, investing options and investment decisions; drafts and analyzes profit-and-loss statements; works with portfolio management and research teams to review financial risk and exposure, index methodologies applied, and competitive positioning of existing ETFs; conducts quantitative research and analysis designed to ensure index quality; evaluates new and existing indexes; isolates market-based and other factors impacting index exposure using modeling, financial and statistical analysis; and supports sales using modeling, statistics and contributing knowledge of index methodology construction. Position also is dedicated to performing rebalance- and replicability- and capacity-focused financial analyses of existing ETFs; contributing to product-related regulatory filings; financial analyses, feasibility studies and modeling of new product opportunities; measuring, managing and limiting investment risk; and financial quality control supporting high-quality, cost-efficient and intelligent investment solutions, notably suites of ETFs.Full-time position; base annual salary ranging $113,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year. Requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in finance, financial engineering, mathematical or quantitative finance, or related field (to include applied mathematics or actuarial science). Also requires two years of the following experience: (a) performing statistical and quantitative analysis in financial services, with scope of work including statistical and mathematical modeling, regular review of third-party indexes, estimating and calculating relevant financial variables to use and apply, building index models, designing and constructing index methodologies, quality control for index maintenance, and “due diligence” review with respect to third-party index providers; (b) developing Microsoft Excel models specifically for back-testing and predictive forecasting; (c) applying both micro- and macro-economic concepts and principles; and (d) contributing to defining statistical-evaluation and mathematically-determined metrics for measuring expected financial returns.Send resumes by email to KRettinger@globalxetfs.com, noting “AVP Prod Mgmt” in the attention line.
