Employer: AlixPartners, LLP Position: Management Consultant [Director (Aerospace, Defense & Airlines)] in New York, NY.Duties: Serve in management consulting role at global management consulting firm, managing projects for companies in Aerospace industry to develop solutions or alternative methods to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively, including leading consulting teams and managing subordinate consultant's efforts. [60%]; Use business intelligence and leading analytics design to identify, solve and report on business problems. Lead the design of systems and procedures to effectively impact client business performance and management practices in the context of carve outs and post merger integration projects for clients in the Aerospace industry. [30%]; Manage a team of consultants to drive sales force transformation. [10%]This role supervises up to 3 employees with the following job titles: Consultant, Vice-President, and Senior Vice-President.100% Telecommuting permitted within US. Up to 80% of travel to undetermined domestic client locations, as needed.Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, plus 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy analysis or business analysis.Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following skills:• Managing performance improvement projects in Aerospace industry by assessing operations performance across multi-dimensions including financials, technical capabilities, processes effectiveness and deploying “within 4-walls” methodology aiming at quickly fixing manufacturing pain points;• Leading carve-out and Post-Merger Integration projects in Aerospace industry including rolling out 5-blocs approach to define the Target Operating Model, target organization and related hiring and training of employees, adjusting most efficient set of business Processes & Tools, clearly allocate equipment and required IT systems to enable integration or carve-out (ERP, HR Information System, Manufacturing Execution system and CAD); and• Effectively drive sales force transformation by supporting definition of market segmentation and prioritization, account planning and sales force animation (via management routine).40 hours per week, $180,000 - $400,000 per year.
