American Express Senior Managers, Data Governance and Management in New York, New York

Description

American Express Company seeks Senior Managers, Data Governance and Management to drive data activation activities and processes to bring data under governance. Work on critical data element prioritization, data mapping, identifying data management roles, documenting data, and classifying systems. Create in-house accelerators for process automation and optimization. Support product feature development & testing in collaboration with product management. Communicate data management program requirements to federated data management teams. Communicate requirements to teams who own data governance tools. Provide support in training, communications, and change management related to data governance across the enterprise. Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables, including metrics to monitor compliance of Data Governance policy and standards.

Position requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with Data Management, Data Governance, and metrics related to monitoring compliance with Data Governance policy and standards. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: Data Governance and Data Management tools, including Collibra; maintaining financial databases using Salesforce and Excel; bank regulatory reporting processes to support data governance strategy efforts; implementing SQL test scripts to identify and solve data quality issues; conducting root-cause analysis of data quality issues; and Python, Sage Intacct, SharePoint, SQL, UAT, VBA, and WordPress. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $101,587.00 to $165,000.00 annually
